Analog sounds.
A browser studio.
One platform.
Resona is a professional sample library and browser-based DAW built for producers who think in tape. Every sound touched real hardware. Every track can be built without leaving your browser.
The hunt for the right sound
shouldn't take longer than making it.
Every producer knows the feeling. You have something in your head — a specific weight of kick, a certain room on the snare, a texture that sits right between clean and broken. And your library doesn't have it. So you spend an hour hunting instead of building.
“Analog doesn't mean old. It means honest.”
Resona was built to end that. A library recorded entirely through real hardware — tape machines, vintage drum kits, modular synthesisers, spring reverbs — paired with a browser DAW that lets you go from browsing to a finished arrangement without changing tabs.
Digital tools are infinite. That can be a problem. We constrain the palette deliberately: every file has character because it was recorded through something with character. Tape hiss, transformer saturation, room bleed. That's not noise. That's warmth.
The catalog
Kicks, snares, hats, and full breaks recorded live and run through tape — not quantised, not corrected. Real rooms, real machines.
One-shots and loops from hardware synthesisers. Moogs, Prophets, modular patches. No VST approximations in this folder.
Fingers, picks, and bows. Tracked direct or through a vintage DI, with transformer saturation already baked in.
Lifted from pressed wax. Crackle, warmth, the occasional skip. If it was worth pressing, it was worth sampling.
Room tones, machine hum, tape hiss, foley — the breathing space between notes that makes a mix feel alive.
Spring reverb tails, tape delays, analog chorus sweeps, and vintage compressor pumps — captured as audio, not presets.
Your DAW lives
in the browser now.
A timeline, a mixer, real-time effects, and your entire Resona library one click away. No installation. No plugins to chase. Build a full arrangement, dial in your levels, and export a lossless file — the whole process lives at a URL.
Six principles
Every sound in the library touched a real circuit before it hit a file. Emulators have their place — it's just not here.
Our A&R team listens to every submission. The library grows slowly on purpose. Quality is a constraint, not a goal.
Installing software to make music is a 2010 problem. Resona's studio runs entirely in your browser — session to export.
We share revenue directly with the engineers and musicians who create every sound. If the catalog grows, so do their earnings.
Key, tempo, machine, room, era — everything tagged at source, before it ships. Search should actually work.
Every file clears for global commercial use. Use it in a release, a sync, a broadcast — the answer is always yes.
Built by producers
A sound library and browser-based DAW built for producers who record warm and mix cold. The whole pipeline, in one place.
Session engineers, mastering technicians, and underground producers who have spent careers inside studios. Every file earns its place.
Built by engineers who are also practicing producers. Every interface decision asks the same question: does this get you to the sound faster?
